Kacie Comly is a Santa Fe, New Mexico based artist working primarily in alternative photographic processes. She was born and raised in the Philadelphia area before moving to Boston in 2001 to attend the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University.
After graduation and a brief stint in the restaurant industry, she returned to Philadelphia to work as a freelance artist assistant and grant and proposal writer. In 2007 she moved across country to manage the darkroom facilities of the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, a position she returned to for summer 2008. When not with the Workshops, she works with local alternative process chemistry supplier Bostick and Sullivan.
